Western Balkans University (WBU) is proud to once again host one of the world’s most inspiring platforms for innovation and scientific dialogue: Falling Walls Lab Tirana, taking place on 10 September 2025 at the university’s modern campus in Tirana.
This prestigious international format gathers students, researchers, and young professionals with visionary ideas aimed at breaking down barriers in science, society, technology, or the economy. Participants are challenged to present their ideas in just 3 minutes, pitching a concept that represents a true “breakthrough”, something that has the potential to reshape how we think, live, or work.
A Chance to Represent Albania in Berlin
The winner of Falling Walls Lab Tirana will earn the unique opportunity to represent Albania at the Falling Walls Science Summit in Berlin this November 2025.
The summit is one of the world’s premier gatherings of top scientists, entrepreneurs, researchers, and changemakers who come together to share ideas that break down the “walls” holding humanity back.
This is not just a competition, it’s a global platform for transformation, connecting brilliant minds and elevating ideas that matter.
Who Can Apply?
All students, early-career researchers, and young professionals with a concrete idea, research project, or social initiative that addresses a pressing challenge are encouraged to apply.
