WBU Organizes Career Fair with the Participation of Seventy Renowned Companies and Institutions

Western Balkans University organizes the second edition of the Career Fair, which features the participation of seventy prestigious companies and institutions.

Today, the second edition of the Career Fair was successfully held at Western Balkans University, in collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce in Tirana 🇬🇧.

The event brought together over +70 businesses and institutions from various sectors, which provided valuable information on internship and employment opportunities for students. The fair was a key platform for strengthening the connection between academia and the labor market.

The activity was opened with welcoming remarks from the Rector of Western Balkans University, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, who expressed his gratitude to all participating institutions and businesses for their contribution.

Following this, Dr. Klodian Allajbeu, founder of American Hospitals and President of the British Chamber of Commerce in Tirana, addressed the audience by sharing his journey, starting from his student years, and emphasized the importance of early engagement of youth with the labor market.

The speech continued with Mr. Nikolin Jaka, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tirana, who expressed his readiness to deepen collaboration with the university to support the professional preparation of the new generation.

A special address was delivered by Mr. Simon Charters, Head of Programmes at the British Embassy, who conveyed appreciation for the ongoing collaboration with Western Balkans University and praised the initiatives aimed at empowering youth development.

The closing remarks were delivered by Prof. Iris Luarasi, who highlighted that every step, no matter how small, is important in the professional development of students, encouraging them to engage in the opportunities available actively.
