SubDivide is startup which aims to simplify the process of working with data, where it offers tools which automate the processes of data preprocessing, data preparation and data analysis. The key objective of the startup is to simplify the work of a data scientist/analyst as much as possible. It aims to provide tools that are execute in a small number of click actions.

The startup was founded during the WBUpreneurs competition by a team of 5 Computer Science students, where it received a lot of feedback which made the idea and the plan valid. Sadly it took only the second place, but it motivated the team to continue developing their idea. The startup aims to provide a MVP (minimum viable product) in a space of 7 months, which is ambitious, but considering the amount of skills the team possesses, is completely doable.
The Stages of the startup plan
The Startup plan consists of two stages, spanning a total of seven months. The first stage, which is nearing completion, focuses on API development. The second stage, which will last four months, involves building the web application that will serve as the main product. Currently, the team is in the final three weeks of the first stage, preparing to launch the API, which will precede the web application.
The API
The API has been under development for almost three months, and the team has successfully completed most of the tasks ahead of schedule. The API is planned to be released on the Rapid API platform on April 6th, where users will be able to subscribe and utilize the services. The API is primarily designed for developers, as they will be its main users. Therefore, the team does not expect significant profit from this product, but completing it will greatly benefit the next project by providing the core tools already built.
The API consists of three main endpoint groups:
- Data preprocessing
This group includes tools that perform data cleaning operations such as auto-completion, row-column deletion, duplicate detection, outlier detection, type standardization, and more.
- Data preparing
This group provides tools aimed at developers who work with model training and creation. The tools offered here are related to models, such as data augmentation, feature engineering, data balancing, train-test splitting, dimensionality reduction, and more. These tools were carefully planned to ensure they perform as expected.
- Data analysis
Given the increasing demand for data analysis due to the rising volume of data, this group offers essential tools for developers involved in interpreting the data that companies collect. The tools include descriptive statistics, correlation and relationship analysis, predictive analysis, general analysis, distribution analysis, and more.
The entire set of tools is accessible through a single API call, which can be easily integrated into applications using the documentation that will be available at launch.
The Web App
Unlike the API, the web application is designed to assist data scientists, data analysts, developers, and individuals with limited coding knowledge. It will feature a user-friendly interface that provides a smooth and intuitive experience. The goal is to ensure the platform has a minimal learning curve, allowing companies to integrate it seamlessly into their workflow. Below are some design concepts that have been created, which will be presented today to give a clearer understanding of what the platform will look like:

Further details on the features will be provided in the coming months, so be sure to follow the project on LinkedIn and X. Additionally, visiting the website and subscribing to the newsletter will ensure notifications about upcoming offers and releases.
